Get Ready...Get Set...Pack!

Beverages
Whether it is for just one person or a whole crew, you will want water! but not only water, anything with electrolytes like Gatorade or Powerade will also help keep the day going smoothly. Now these aren’t the only beverages that you can bring. A slew of juice boxes for the kiddos can go a long way too! especially if you have a racer who is a kid at heart and will steal a box whenever they can.
A Pro Tip: Always bring a cooler with ice because you never know if you will need the ice for any medical reasons.
Snacks
There is a large variety of food that can be brought to the track. From bananas for potassium, to string cheese for a quick protein- you will want something to snack on on these long days. See my list for best food to bring for inspiration. We love using a divided snack caddy that locks and stows away in any cooler easily!
Safety Kit
Bringing bandages is only the start of what should be in your kit. you should include items like: aspirin, ibuprofen, antacids, antidiarrheal, alcohol wipes, sterile gauze pads, Q-tips, small scissors, nail clippers, tweezers, waterproof bandages in various sizes, and medical wrap. Having these items will keep you prepared for anything that your little racer can experience!
Cleaning Products
Wet wipes and rags are only the beginning when it comes to being prepared for the unknown. Having a couple rolls of paper towel, toilet paper, and a box of tissues will help to keep your space squeaky clean!
A Pro Tip: degreaser and Windex can also be wonderful supplies to have on hand to stay prepped and ready to go go go.
Comfort Items
Bringing extra clothing will make the day or weekend more comfortable. Layering with an extra sweatshirt for those potentially cold and rainy days or having a spare pair of shoes for each family member ensures that everyone will have an enjoyable experience!
Seating
Any form of seating will do as long your family has somewhere to relax between races. You can find a realm of various lawn/yard chairs to fit your needs. Make sure to find something comfortable that will also double as storage for other items that you have with you. Our favorite chairs can be found on Amazon for less than fifty dollars and they come with storage pockets, beverage holders, a side arm built-in cooler and with the added bonus of them being fully padded!

Weather Protection
You will want to have something to shield you from the weather, be it rain or sun-these items will always come in handy! Sunscreen will be your best friend on those hot days, so make sure you bring any SPF rated 50 or more to keep from burning while out and about. A canopy cover is another great investment for not only storage but sun protection as well! While a canopy can be wonderful for a group of people, if you are just one person, a simple sporting umbrella will do just fine if the weather does change for the worse.
Camera
You never want to miss an opportunity to snap a shot of why you're there! It can be with your phone or an actual camera but either way, capturing the day will help show off just who you are there to support. If you think that is a simple task, try getting a polaroid camera to give your photos a new look- then hang them up on the fridge like the proud spouse you are!
